I am working on a series of articles on Ezine Articles about journalling and how important it is to your scrapbook layouts. Lets look at different ways you can start to journal! Today, we are going to look at journalling on punches or die cut shapes for different ways you can start to journal instead of the everyday block of writing on your pages!
With this layout, you can see the different colors of circles with the journalling added. I added a smiley face and a frown face for things I like and don't like. This was one of the funnest layouts I have ever done, using one photo and a two page layout spread! I used my favorite color - pink, and added the brown to it in order to bring a different color other than just the pinks! I framed the photo a bit more, adding the brown buttons to the bottom. I then added eyelets to this piece and the bottom journalling piece to thread some floss through to hang the journalling piece. I made sure to concentrate on this part first, and then the little words could come after!
With this layout - "Different", I used Chatterbox paper to start with - and also used the back side of the paper as well. I matched the blue, and then started on the layout itself. For the title, I used brads in the middle of the words, to create a unique look. I only used one word for the title. I framed a photo of me when I was younger, and wrote the definition of the word different in blue. I also added a few words to the photo matt - describing what they would find on the tags. On each of the tags are either things I would have done differently in my lifetime, or how I am different than most people are. The tags were then placed behind the photo, so you could pull them out and read them...but hidden enough so the world can't see it all! Again, everything is in my own handwriting, which is something future generations will love to see!
I hope you have enjoyed today's project, make sure you check back tomorrow when we work on hidden journalling aspects - with directions!
