For the hop today, I'm sharing part of my Christmas photos and how I do the entire Christmas photos I take.
For this first set of layouts - I do a pocket page to put all of the cards I get that year. I put all of the photos I get from my family, and the various cards I end up getting that year. To me it is just easier to do things this way, in order to have a place for all of the cards!
As for the rest of the pages, I love to make sure I use the same type of embellishments on each of the pages I end up doing - this way everything looks like it belongs for that particular year. I usually will write up a thing about that year - and what all happened, versus the journaling on each page. Not having a "traditional family" my pictures involve step-children, my children, and my husband - this year was one of the years my other two kids went with their dad in California - which is always hard for me! When I use paper piecing patterns or patterned die cuts - I love to also add embellishments to them to add visual interest - such as the buttons on the bear! Learn to take basic things and make them your own!
I hope you check back tomorrow for the rest of this project! Christmas is meant to be fun - enjoy this holiday season!
