**Please note, there are two hops today - if you are here for the Homemade Christmas Gift Blog Hop, see the post below.**
Welcome to Round Two of the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop! You should have come from Theresa's blog. If you are starting here and wish to hop from the beginning of the hop, please visit Dena’s blog here. There was so much response to the Christmas Cards & Cookies Blog Hop that it had to be split between two weekends. Round One was held last weekend. Round Two is this weekend, beginning on Saturday, Dec. 10th, through Sunday, Dec. 11th. We have a talented group of women who love papercrafting and baking. Each of them is sharing a recipe for a yummy Christmas treat along with a Christmas card or tag. Hopefully, you’ll pick up some great ideas for your own Christmas gift giving this season. So, grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and enjoy!
For my card and recipe I am sharing with you this weekend, is what I am making for my neighbors in the area, with a plate of various baked goodies - recipe's gotten from the hop last weekend and this weekend!!!! I love getting things like this from people, and love the compliments I get back from those I spend the time in giving to! Baking can be fun and therapeutic at times, and think of all the GREAT food you get from people at this time of year! I know my neighbor constantly is baking things on holidays!
I love using scraps from other projects to complete my cards and tags! This project is NO different! I started with the card base, and used scraps for the polka dot and the hohoho paper! I topped it off with a Seasons Greetings sayings stamped in red and embossed in clear embossing powder. A simple ribbon bow with a button on the top finishes off the look for this card! It will be signed by all of us here!
Now for the fun part - the recipe! Oh how I wish I had a picture of this - but man, if you don't like to bake or make fudge because of how hard it is, may I share with you my mothers fudge recipe!!! Now, I will say up front this truly is "no fail" (or as someone in my family used to call it - "idiots" fudge - even an idiot can make it!!!! I know for me, it's truly not that hard, and I'm not the best cook in the world!!! I am adding a letter with the card, explaining each of the baked goodies they get and the story behind the recipe!
No Fail Fudge
3-6 oz pkg chocolate chips (3 1/2 cups)
1 lb. bag miniature marshmallows
1 lb. walnuts (optional)
1 can milk
2 squares margarine
5 cups sugar
Boil milk, margarine, and sugar 8 minutes. Pour over chips, marshmallows and nuts. Mix well (until marshmallows are dissolved), pour in large buttered cookie sheet - cool.

Oh yummy! I love fudge although I can't eat a lot of it - too rich - but this recipe looks wonderful! Will have to leave out the nuts for my daughter who is allergic, but otherwise we will definitely be trying this! Your card is so cute and I love that you used scraps! I seem to forget to use mine!
