12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop

Welcome to our 12 Days of Christmas Blog Hop - If you came from Amy Jo then you are in the right place !!!  Now, if you are just happening upon my blog, then you totally want to go back to the beginning at Lisa's bog because the beginning is always the best!  Plus Lisa has gotten a TON of awesome sponsors, so make sure you go back and start at the beginning so you can get signed up for all her great giveaways!!!!  Watch along the way, as some of us will have blog candy to give away too!  Here is the lineup in case you get lost along the way:

Now for my idea today - shared first because you might need to finish up a can of coffee in order to do this gift idea!!!   I am "cheap", sorry - but I can't afford to go to the store and spend money whenever I want to, especially on paint can's to put gifts in - so at times, I have to create cheap ways for presents...much like the paint cans are!

I covered the can using 2 sheets of 12 x 12 paper and a few die cuts!  On the inside of the can - you get tissue paper and wrap the present up, or put the gift in the paper!   There are many things you can do with this type of thing - great way to recycle things too!  You can make one for every holiday and make it a tradition for your kids or grandkid's!  Look at each of the people you have on your list - for ideas on what to include in the can.  I love to add candy, home-baked goods, a movie, gift certificates to various places, for a baby add an outfit and rattle, for a toddler add a bunch of little toys, for a tween add their favorite sets such as Lego's, or Barbie's, for teen's, add gift certificates and candy, for grandma add a mini album made of the kids and add a gift certificate to it!  There are many things you can do with this type of altered gift holder, the one's I give one too always love them!  For the extra paper you have left over, create a small gift tag to go with the creation, that way everyone knows it's from YOU!

Now, next up on this hop is Mindy so go to see what she has for this fun hop.  Make sure you check back each day as this is the 12 Days of Christmas Blog hop, so we will have idea's every day!

**For my "blog candy"...one lucky winner will receive a 20 page Christmas album that will be showcased during this blog hop.  If you are unable to add the pictures to the album yourself, I will have you send me the pictures you want, and I will add it for you!  The file will go to you for you to print out on Shutterfly!!!  The retail value is $150 - the file yours to do what you want to with it!  Now make sure you:

  • Are a follower of my blog!
  • Make sure you leave me a comment, along with an email address to get ahold of you.
  • You will receive an extra entry if you subscribe to my Facebook Fanpage make sure you let me know here!
  • If you share this blog, make sure you let me know for another extra entry!
Thank you so much for visiting the blog, I have enjoyed getting the things done that I am bringing you!
