Card sketch blog hop -

Hi! Welcome to the Sketch blog hop! The purpose of this hop is to show how all of these talented bloggers can take the same sketch and come up with totally different cards. If you've never used a card sketch before, give it a try! Be sure to check back on Sunday, as there will be some bloggers posting cards on day 2. So sit back & be inspired!  Your hop lineup is as follows:

If you are here from Kerry's blog, you are in the right place, if not, you might want to go back to the beginning at Jennifer's blog because the beginning is always the very best!!!  My idea for the day – (and make sure to check back tomorrow as I will have 3 more card ideas to share with you from this card sketch) was made with scraps of paper, and extra’s leftover from other projects I have done.  Having card bases around, as well as scraps of paper makes it easy for you to create a card in no time, especially if you need one quickly!

For this card, I used the sketch more exact than I did the second card.  Both cards are done using the same papers, each with different embellishments!  I used a simple
Making Memories flower for the top – placing it on top of the striped paper.  I then used 2 different colors of ribbon, and placed the saying on top, matted with ivory cardstock and blue brads for the corners.  The inside is left blank to allow for people to customize the inside of the card for the person receiving it by using it to create a nice note or saying.

For this card, the same colors were used that was used in the top card, only the sketch was changed to the side to make a different look for the card.  On the left side, I used the same ribbon, and the saying on top of it.  I then used different hearts in both blue and brown to emphasize the “love” title.  Another great way to use up some of the things you have from other projects, in order to make a more personalized – one on one card!

I love using sketches - it makes it easy to create something - without having to really think how you want it to look!  Just find things that fit in the areas of the sketch - or learn to do your own type of thing if you'd like!  Either way it goes - as you can see so far, you can take one sketch and do so many different things with it -

Blog candy - now - to get this fun little pack...you MUST - be a follower of my blog and leave a comment saying you are a follower (new or old)!
If you follow me on Facebook, you will get another entry in the giveaway!

Make sure you leave a comment - I will be having a drawing at the end of September with all of my comments made!  I am still deciding on the "candy" probably a gift certificate to a fun store of your choice!!!  I hope you enjoy the rest of the hop!  Now your next person on the hop is Pam - so make sure you go on over to see what she's been up to!  Thanks for hopping with us -
