Ways to keep track of special events

Remembering your friends and family members' special dates can be tough, especially if you are married, blending kids, or just have a huge family to keep track of!  My husband wanted something so that he would know what event was coming up such as birthdays and anniversaries, so this is what came out of what he wanted.
Together, we have 8 kids...so between each kid, their spouse, grandkids, each of our parents, siblings, their spouses, and all of our nieces and nephews...well, you get the picture, keeping track of dates are hard to do, especially when you have other things going on in your life!
When I first started to create this, I had certain guidelines to go by...it needed to be hung up on the fridge and easy enough for Del to see the dates.  This particular one was made quite a few years ago, before the birth of more grandkids, so I will be showing you a new version I am doing within a few days!  There will also be yet another totally different way I am sharing with you in tomorrow's post, so be on the lookout for that too!
With this example, you can see January through June....July through December is actually on the back, being able to switch it around with the twine bows you can see.  This way you can create the bottom part on both sides, with the top decorated as you see fit, to match the colors in the area you are putting it in!  I used happy colors at the time, but the one I am planning on doing next is strictly going to match my kitchen this time!
I like to be organized, so this year is going to be a changing year for me.  I am trying to plan things out earlier, make things earlier...and get things done when I need to.  I do not want to be on overload...so things will be made as I can, instead of rushing out and getting things as the dates arrive!
