It's all about special events the past few days here at Memories in Tyme, showcasing birthday cards, and ways to keep track of the dates in your life that you need to keep track of each month! Now we are going to showcase Anniversary cards! Things are hard enough as it is, without having to rush out at the last minute to pick up a card and gift for that special someone in your life. If you spend time once a month looking at the things you have coming up, then it won't be so hard on you when the actual event comes around!
Anniversaries are always fun, when you celebrate that special day with your spouse and loved ones. It isn't always easy to come up with unique ideas for your cards though, look at things others have done, as well as ideas in scrapbooks. Maybe it's your own anniversary, or your parents'...chances are you want the card to be special to that person especially if you are spending the time to make one in the first place! Handmade cards are neat because they can be customized easily to the recipient, using their favorite colors...or basic red/black/white for a love theme if you want to be more traditional. I used Pink and brown for one card, such as the idea above, and red with cream for a really neat look such as the top card. Use your printer for the inside of the card, personalizing it to what you want it to read...or write it out in your own handwriting if you feel like it!

With this card, I used a simple wedding stamp embossed in white, a saying made on the computer, and a simple white bow at the top. This can be made in different variations, themes, colors, etc., and easy enough to create too! With the pink and brown card, I started with the brown and pink striped paper that ended up making the hearts. I then used paper from my scraps to finish up the card. Since I did not have enough of one color, I chose to use paper tearing to add a bit of interest, and because I didn't have enough of one of the papers to finish up the card, so I created a bit of visual interest by using the two different patterned papers!
With this card, I used a Cherished Teddy stamp, and Radiant Pearls paint with clear embossing powder to create the look. I used a simple computer saying that can be tweak to just about whatever you wish it to be...with the stamp, you could chalk it, use markers, or just stamp it and emboss it in white on a solid color of cardstock! Card making can get really intricate and detailed, and can be easy to make too... it all depends on your skill level, and your style! Add to that what you have available to you, and you should do pretty good where making cards is concerned! Above all, enjoy what you make, and enjoy making cards this year for your loved ones!
