Card sketch blogs and sites

There are times when you make your cards that you just get STUCK.....stuck for ideas, stuck as to how to place things, etc.  I love looking over blog sites that have a lot to offer.  This is a list of some of my favorite places that I frequent:

  • Card Positioning Systems not only has a sketch, but they also give you ideas.  I love the ideas they have here, and the fact it is a current - up to date blog!  Great sketches and ideas here, make sure you check them out!
  • If you "Google" card sketches you will get an entire list of nothing but sketches.  The sketches will come up, and will take you to other sites, I totally love Google, and find a ton of sketches that I just have to try out!
  • Another great place to go to is Witty Living for 100 card sketches!  What I like about them, is they will give you the sketch and what to place there, like patterned paper #1, patterned paper #2, matching ribbon...etc.  Great sketches, great ideas!
  • Craft Gossip.com has card sketches, really cool ones...but they also have other types of crafts as well, great site all the way around!
  • If you are just starting out, I totally love Vickie's card making ideas.com for numerous reasons....their sketches, plus their techniques they have.  I just like that she gives you a place where you are able to contact her easily, and you can learn different techniques!
As for products....I love using stamps on my scrapbooking embellishments as well as my cards.  I also use my scrapbooking items in my cards too...Once you organize your stuff, it's a whole other ball of wax!  Here are a few places to look at for your stamping needs:
  • Close to my heart has wonderful products...find a close demonstrator that you can get a catalog from, go to a show, or have a show even!  There are demonstrators all over the place....make sure you check out their ideas and site!
  • Another favorite of mine is Stampin Up...the first place around that has their ink pads, card stock, patterned paper, and markers all match!  They have craft pads that can be used for embossing as well.  Another place you will need to find a demonstrator, but I really like the one on one customer service you get from them versus a store front.
This year, take a look at new techniques...new products...a new way to do things, to kick your crafting up a bit!  If you tend to use more of one product, find new ways to use it...or look at different times you create that you can use it.  I know for me, I love to use Radiant Pearls paint...I want to use it a bit more this year in my scrapbooking, not just my stamping!  I will be showing you fun projects and ways you can use different type of color coming up!

I hope you enjoy my blog and site picks for the week...I will certainly be showcasing other sites down the line!
