Each week, you will get at least 1 beginner project idea - whether it is a card, scrapbook layout or gift idea that you can make with little "supplies"! A great "beginner project" for you to try and create yourself! Then, move on to other fun ideas that you can make! Last week, we created a beginner scrapbook layout - make sure you check it out if you are just starting out creating layouts!
For today's project, we are going to create a basic card! Cards are so much fun - and you can use up a lot of the supplies and leftovers you have from your scrapbook projects in things like cards, tags and bookmarks - which we will be showing you here!
Supplies used:
Card base w/envelope
Die cuts (balloons)
Happy Birthday stamp
White ink pad
Scraps of paper
Directions:
Step one: Decide the colors you want for your card - looking at the scrap's of paper you might have available. I used a white card base, with the pink - and then patterned pink. Add the adhesive to the paper and attach to the card.
Step two: Die cut the balloons - I used 2 white and 2 brighter pink - arrange on the card and attach using adhesive.
Step three: On a separate piece of scrap paper - create your stamped image. You could emboss it if you know how to do that, but to just start out, stamping is just fine! After you trim the image a bit, attach it with adhesive to the card.
So, you can see how easy it is if you have just a few different stamps and ink pads, some scrapbooking supplies, and a card base! Make up a few cards one day when you are working on a birthday layout or project! It's easier to make them up ahead of time than to spend a bunch of time right before the day you need it in making them!
Not only are we going to be focusing on beginner projects for you, but starting in May, we will work on a different technique each month! Easy things for a beginner to start to look in to - while showing you harder things you can do with each technique! I hope you stop by and see all the fun idea's planned for in May! An awesome blog hop, my announcement, and learning fun techniques!
