Welcome to Memories in Tyme Blog Hop - where you will find all things relating to Spring! This is my favorite time of year - the leaves are starting to come out - we've all been hibernating all winter in the cold...so now it's time to do some fun Spring projects!!! You will be sure to find layouts, cards, decor and more with these seriously talented ladies...
Since you are at the beginning, lets get started with the project!!!
This was one of the funnest cards I have made in a long time, made again - with scraps left over from other projects! To complete this card, I used the following supplies:
Scraps of paper from other projects
Happy Birthday saying
White stamp pad
White embossing powder
3D flowers
Buttons for the middle
Border punch of your choice
Step one: Start with the background piece - stamp the image and emboss in white powder. Set aside.
Step two: Take the brown strip and start to punch down the sides of the strip for it to go down the side of the card. Add it to the card with adhesive.
Step three: Starting at the top - add the 3D flowers and buttons to the punched creation going down the side. (I use my hot glue gun for this step.)
With this card - I used scraps for all of it, a piece of patterned paper, solid paper with white embossed images on it (and buttons in the middle of the flowers), and then at the top - two strips of ribbon in order to create visual interest in the piece. I wasn't sure about how it would turn out, but it's actually one of my favorites!! I love the colors especially, reminding me of one of those beautiful warm spring days!!!

Two more pretty cards. Love the white stamp on the blue. I love that you used scraps. Sometimes I just like to sit down and make cards with my scraps to clean them out some. Makes me feel good I used scraps.
ReplyDeleteLovely cards- I so love that you are making things from scraps- I really need to work harder to do that. I think I made need to move my scrap bin over close to where I work on cards so I can start with my scraps first.
ReplyDeletesuper cute cards... love the flowers
ReplyDeleteThose cards are SCRAP-a-licious! Love the blue one and I think we should do a leftovers hop!! LOL
