Do you have a stash of handmade cards you have made up before hand - either way, this post is for you!!! If you don't - you will be challenged to make up a few before hand to save a bit of time when you need to send them out! If you do have a stash, look at what you have made up and what is upcoming this next month and make up a few extra cards so you won't have to do it another time when it's less convenient for you!!
Look at what you have available to you - versus running out and spending money on cards you can't really afford. Plus if you take a bit of extra time in making them up front, then you aren't running around at the most inopportune time trying to find a card for someone who means a lot to you! So, take the time to see how many cards you have, and what you have made up. What do you need to make for the upcoming few months - is there birthday's in your family, do you have any anniversaries, or just cards you want to make and send to people in your life!

This way, you have more than enough for every type of event you need - if you use more birthday related cards, then make more...but start with these categories to begin with! Look for rub-ons, which are great for making cards and not having to bring out your stamps and ink pads! Grab some extra themed die cuts or stickers, add a bit of patterned paper, squares, or whatever you have and make up a few cards!

I do keep a card stash and it helps me out when something comes up. I need to work on a few of the categories I use most but I have been sending a card to my dad each week and if I have the supplies to do so I make a 2nd of the same card for my stash.
