Planning your projects -

When you start your projects - do you just jump on in and start creating - or do you painstakingly plan each of the projects that you make?  I do both - sometimes the inspiration starts with one part - and other times it starts with planning it all out!  As you do plan things out, it helps by making sure each decision doesn't affect any of the other ones!  If you start by asking these questions - you can make the perfect project each and every time!

  1. Is the project for you - or someone else such as a gift?
  2. Title - do you have a specific title in mind?
  3. Colors - do you have specific colors in mind?
  4. Photos - are they themed or not themed?
  5. Paper - is there a specific paper line you want to use?
  6. Embellishments - do you have specific embellishments you want to use?
  7. Sketch area - in order to sketch out idea.
  8. Swatch area for color selection
  9. Shopping list area.
Some of my projects start with just one part, and others start with another - it all depends on the mood I am in, and the inspiration I get at the time!  I love how you can keep track of each individual piece of the picture, to allow yourself the opportunity to remember other things - going back to the project when you have the time!  If you have the colors selected...the photos already, put them in a file for when you have the time to work on it again!  This type of system is easy to do, and helps me when I create!  Work out the perfect system for YOU!

9-11 Tenth Anniversary Remembrance Blog Hop

Welcome to a blog hop devoted to the remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11th.  If you just happened up on my blog, then you can go back to Tami's blog with is the    beginning - you have got to see all the wonderful talent!!!    The terrorist attack against our nation, which happened a decade ago, is a long time for some.  However for many, the day feels all too close. The deeply seared memories of the human sufferings and acts of heroism, which took place on that day, changed our nation. The nation was in shock when terrorists decided to hijack our airplanes and turn them into weapons.  It was beyond anyone’s belief that something so horrific could happen on our own soil.  It would be one thing if it were just the destruction of the Twin Towers or damage to the Pentagon and a field in Shanksville, PA, but almost 3,000 people perished, from the attack, leaving a scar on the sole of America. Americans came together as...
