Using nail polish as a source for inspiration - then paint your nails when you are done!

Ok, I get that this is a scrapbook blog - but I stumbled up a web site Julep.com as I was checking out some nail polish and I really liked it for a ton of different reasons, so I thought I would share with you guys!  I especially liked their Style Profile, which helped to define who I am in their eyes which is a Classic with a twist (might help you in scrapbooking too).  I like beautiful yet simple cuts and colors, and am effortlessly elegant (boy do I not feel like that) using sophisticated hues, leather accessories, and nice fabrics.  As I looked more on their site, I found Julep Maven, which is a wonderful program they offer customers for $19.99 a month.
The products they send you will be the latest in manicure and pedicure products, to give yourself (or your friends/family members) a wonderful set of products that are beautiful to use.  Every month, you get an email showing you what products they have available to send you.  The best part of that whole thing, is the fact you get $40 worth of products for half price, sent right to your door each month!  And the products are things YOU are attracted to based on the profile you filled out.
Grab 6 of your friends and buy nail polish!   Pedicure Kit includes: Julep Basecoat, Julep Fast Dry Topcoat, 4 Julep Nail Polish Colors (Amy, Jennifer, Mandy, and Catherine), Julep Pomegranate Body Creme, 6  orange wood sticks, 6 nail brushes, 6 toe separators, 6 nail files, 6 pedi slippers, and Cosmopoliltan drink mix.  A $145 value for just $84!
Another part about this fun site I stumbled upon, is the fact that they have videos inside the nail colors to show you different things - tips on how to polish your own nails, and how to apply nail polish to name a few.  I had a lot of fun looking at the different video's - make sure you go check this out for SURE!!!
Now for the scrapbooking part of the blog (I had fun enough just looking at nail colors alone)!  The challenge is for you to look at the colors of the nail polish (purchase a couple if you'd like...), and use them as a source of inspiration for a project - whether you want to make a card, layout, or altered item...  Use colors you find in the nail polish to make something.  For me - I am in LOVE with:

Megan
Vanessa
With Megan and Vanessa together (though you can't see the glitter in Vanessa), I love using a teal color with a bit of white....however, Vanessa has a glitter in it and it's clear.  I would love to create something with teal and glitter together!!!   And with Maria and Oliva below, the rich browns and rose color together just looks elegant to me!   Make sure you check out there web site at http://www.julep.com/ for their specials!  I know I have plans for sure - they have GREAT stuff!
