In My Daughters Eyes -

If you have followed me - or know much about me, you will know I have not had it easy in life.  It was one thing after another for me - nothing going right in my life.  The song "In My Daughters Eyes" by Martina McBride - though I am not a "hero" in my daughters eyes, just someone who made mistake upon mistake upon mistake - is one that brought me out of a huge depression and wanting to die.  She has no clue how hard I have worked to just stay alive, and be a part of her life - nor does she understand much of anything about my past causing me to be the person I am today.

With this layout, I wanted the picture to be the focus, not the song.  To save money, I used supplies that I already had around!  I love the peach and green color combination, which was the best for the picture I used.  I matted it on white mulberry paper - fraying the edges as best I could, then matting on the paper.  To make the pages look the same, I used vellum paper that had a bit of a cloud look to it.  On the right side of the layout - the lyrics to the song.

My daughter is my hero...for bringing me out of such a huge depression, in which I wanted to die...  I am so glad scrapbooking kept me alive.  Thank you for your continued support - I enjoy bringing you such fun ideas!  Enjoy your day -
