Die cuts are fun and versatile to use, depending on the die you actually purchase. One thing about a die cut machine such as Sizzix, the pieces you get to work with will be the exact same size as what the die cut will show you. With something like a Cricut machine, you can make the piece any size you want, depending on what it is you are working on.
With the example above, I used the tag and the cat from my Sizzix die cuts, the pink tag also had another tag that came with it which is more rounded at the top (check out the next layout). I use my tags more than just about anything except the flowers and hearts I also have!
As you can see with this next layout, there is the same tag again, this time, using buttons to create a cute look to each of them. My cat is just a hoot, she sleeps in the darndest things...this time, was an Easy Mac box, so of course I had to do a layout! However.. go to the store and try to find something that matches or even goes with this type of pictures... So, I had to create my own! I made the bowl myself, out of c ardstock...used the same colors in the Easy Mac box, and wala....layout complete! But again, it's not DONE until you do the journaling! Simple handwritten journaling does the trick...but you can always do computer generated if you want to...
So, you can see how simple using a die cut is...especially if you have one available to you...
To start with, I would grab this pack for $129.99, use coupon code AFQ1 until March 31st and receive 25% off select die's as well! This is a great price for this machine! With this machine, you can cut paper, fabric, chip board, and magnets, to allow you the creativity you want, but in other areas of your life! I love to create...and using this machine has been the best thing for me! Check out Sizzix.com's web site for ideas, and sign up for their newsletter! I love checking out the ideas others do...even if I do not do that particular idea, I might do that technique on something else! More ideas tomorrow on die cuts, so join me for a few days of die's!
