For those of you who have been following me since July, you know each month I talk about Christmas... We are now 2 months before the blessed event, so I am kicking things up a notch or two. By now, I hope you have at least started looking at things...I have a few things started for my Christmas cards, now will spend the time designing with what I have!
As for the gifts you want to make...I hope you are looking at that a bit seriously... I am finishing up the gifts I started a long time ago! For whatever reason, the creativity just wasn't there for me, but now has started to come back a bit more! Look at different things for your own personal inspiration! You might like how someone made a particular item, but have a kit already in other things. Make that item in what you do have, it will help for the cost factor using up what you already have!
Take a look at back posts for Shopping Alerts...there are a lot of great places that have Christmas paper, or any other type of paper if you can't find anything close to you! I am learning that shopping on the Internet is a lot of fun, especially when you start to look at bigger purchases! Over the next few weeks I will start to showcase fun products that you can show to your family to give them ideas as to what you want. Most people who are not scrapbookers themselves would have no idea what to give you, unless you show them exactly!
Over the next few weeks I will also have a few fun Christmas card ideas to show you! I have the paper selected, the die cuts taken care of, now I just need to design! I found the ideas that I like that I want to design from, and now am ready to just take the time to play! For those of you who struggle with that like I do, spend 30 minutes this week on designing your cards! I am going to do that this week for sure!
I also want you to spend time working on your gift list. How are you going to give them the gift? Do you need to make tags, ideas will be coming for those in later posts... Do you want to put your gifts in something unique, look at paint cans, boxes, gift bags, or alter a coffee can to put your gift in. Find the perfect item for your gift recipient...ideas and directions in the next few weeks!
Look also at your decorations, do you need to make anything to go on your tree, wall, or on your mantle? There are many ideas out there you can make, start to look at your favorite blogs, or sign up for your favorite manufacture newsletter to get more ideas as to what they are doing! Look at your own personal needs, and those of your families to create the perfect gift.
