Christmas is 5 months from today...it doesn't seem possible! This is why the big thing about Christmas this month... Not only do you have Christmas around the corner, you also have other events each month...August and September start to be really busy around our family...with October and December a close one after that! So, I need a way to start planning out the events in my life that I need to pay attention to! Some events are just not as important as others, and my time is precious right now...as everyones is! It seems you have to spend more time on the roads, more time working, more time doing this, more time doing that...Where do you have time to "create"?
That is where I come in, I force you to "make" time to do it! Each month on the 25th, you will get a reminder blog post reminding you to not only look at Christmas...but also to look at the next months events as well. This way, you will be able to create EVERYTHING you need...just by spending a little time here and there! I have a few tips for you that I am learning to keep myself organized...
I remember being a little girl, and every year at Christmas time we would go to Santaquin, Utah for a big Christmas party at the Senior Citizens Center with all of my aunts, uncles and cousins. I wish I could go back to that time and spending it together.....and bottle up the feelings I felt back then!
If you are trying to save money on products, look for specials at your local craft stores. I picked up a great K&C Company pack of paper normally for $19.99 for $3.99 at Michaels. They had a ton of different types at the local Michaels I demo at, so look for one close to you! I have a ton of projects in mind for this pack, and with it being double sided paper I can use one or the other side depending on the color I need!
For people who want to learn how to scrapbook, find a neat basket, and start to fill it with things you find on clearance. Spend a certain amount of money on each gift is fun, especially if someone is new at paper crafting, stamping or scrapbooking! Or, use your scrapbook supplies to alter a coffee can, decorating the outside of the can. Add one to your desk at work filled with candy or for your pens if you use a small enough can!
The gifts you make do not have to be expensive...as you can see, I spend little money, I recycle...and that is about it! You might have a lot of money, or supplies, or whatever...I have had to learn to compromise on a lot of things...instead of going out and buying a pack of paper that I couldn't afford, I learned to use a different color, or change things around a bit. Have fun...don't let it stress you out!

- Pick up some cheap file folders to put paper, ideas, etc in them for each individual idea or project.
- Divide the amount of cards you need to make by the amount of months left before Christmas so you aren't so overwhelmed in making 50 cards. Make 10-15 each month...or 8 of one design, 8 of another...etc.
- Look at gifts you have the stuff for now, what else you need to purchase, etc. Jot a simple note down on a scrap piece of paper of the items you need to pick up.
- Try to take things with you when you are going to work, appointments, etc., that can easily be done for projects, such as cutting out....glueing pieces together, tracing the template shapes, or putting brads into place.
- Spend a little time each week working on the projects you need to complete. Make sure you get yourself on a schedule for working on things. Find a buddy if need be, or an online partner that you both can work together on things.
