Christmas in JULY

This month is all about Christmas in July, where we will have challenges and ideas all month long!  It will be all about planning....and starting to make things for your friends and family for that wonderful event that happens every year!   If you are like me, the intentions are there...but I never get around to actually finishing up the projects I want to make.   This month, will be all about getting that process started, and each month after that a reminder blog about getting your stuff done!

Everyone is in the same boat this year, we are all watching our money...the recession has hit everyone really hard.  However, I have been in this "current economy" since my husband was taken out of work 7 years ago, so you are all just in my shoes now!  I learned a few things along the way, and am so excited to teach you what I learned...especially about creating beautiful...one of a kind gifts!

Today I am starting with a few challenges to get you started, today is day 1 of our 31 days worth of Christmas in July!

Challenge #1:  Grab a notebook, or find a computer program to help you keep track of the things you want to make or buy for your friends and family.  As an extra challenge, alter the notebook in Christmas paper so you can find the notebook easily!

Challenge #2:  Start to decide what and who...who are you going to be buying/making things for, and what are you going to buy/make!

Challenge #3: Start to look at web sites for specific papers and embellishments you need to purchase for your gifts.  Start to make a list of web sites, or specific items you are wanting to make it easier to spend the money!  Or, look at what you currently have to save money!  If you need to purchase stuff, look at what you might have instead to use, or tweak what you are making!

Included this month will be ideas for framed pages, sampler pages, coffee cans altered, cards, mini albums, pages and more!  I will give you ideas that will not only help you for Christmas, but also for your birthdays, anniversaries, and other fun events.

This is just the beginning of a fun blog I have planned for the rest of this year!  Each month you will get a blog post to challenge you to look at the current months events and start to make the cards, or gifts you need for that particular month, as well as ideas each month especially for my blog!

I will also have fun product reviews, and places to purchase!  I love to shop on the internet, being able to find the perfect item I need...depending on what I am working on!  I will have a GREAT review about Post-it paper....Love the adhesive on one side, making it work GREAT for die cuts, punches and just plain creating...

Thank you so much for visiting, and not only following me on Twitter, but also on Facebook!   I hope you enjoy the month I have planned!
