With Christmas gifts, you do not need to spend a lot of money on gifts for each and every person. One gift I was able to see was a digital scrapbook album made into a book, in which everyone who was included in the book received a copy of it as a present. I am sure she spent a lot of time and money on this present, but...I feel it would be a one
of a kind album, made with a lot of love!
If you are on a budget, make sure you check out my product reviews or the web site for the San Serif Digital Scrapbook Artist 2 software or their free software and kits you can download from their site. I have a few great layouts made with their software, and have fallen in love with their software!
For people you don't see a lot, friends or family members alike...cards made and put into packs of cards make a great gift! If you happen to have a lot of people you make birthday cards for, or the recipient sends cards out to everyone...make enough cards to allow them to send out each card, plus enough postage to cover those that need to be mailed!
Framed pages make wonderful Christmas gifts...taking a 12 x 12 sheet of paper and a frame, adding a special photo and embellishments, and you are done. This helps when you have photos taken each year at your childs school, or just as a reminder to get your pictures taken yearly when you are a couple.
If you have girls, start to look at items you can get to allow them the opportunity to scrapbook or create with you. Album kits such as the ones you get from Colorbok are wonderful as they come with everything you will need to make a darling album. Many of them also come with "how-to's" if you want to make the "perfect" album...just like the designer made! With the extra's you have, make one of a kind cards...or add some of the embellishments to other items you make.
Challenge #1: Look at what you have already in your stash of stuff to make at least 3 gifts for your friends, family members or your neighbors. Start to collect what you need, making a list of what it is you have, or need to purchase.
Challenge #2: Make a decision as to how many gifts you are going to need to to make, and decide how many needs to be made each month. Also look at other type of cards and gifts you need to make along with these for Christmas.
Challenge #3: Start to look at your magazines, web sites, blogs or books for ideas as to things you might want to make...and for whom. Don't just look at the "idea", look at what it is that you have available to you too.
Challenge #4: If you have unfinished projects that you have not finished up in the past few years, get them put together, with a list of what you need to do to finish up the project.
Spending time on projects now, will certainly help you at the Christmas season from having to spend all of your time on projects! I hope the challenges I have listed here in the past few days will help you to get more things made and decided on! I hope you enjoy the challenges and ideas listed, and hope you will visit us each day for more ideas for the Christmas season!
