Holiday Albums

The day after Christmas - did you take a ton of pictures, and are you now ready to work on an album with me?  Today, we are getting ready to start to create your own Christmas project!!!  I had a wonderful time the past few years in making a paper bag album for some people in my family, so I decided this year, to make one for ME this time!  We will start to plan out your album, purchase supplies (at a discount now) if you need to, and get to creating our albums!
  1. Decide what you want your project to be.  Do you want to do a mini album, a larger style album, or something different?
  2. Do you have papers or embellishments you have already that you want to use, or do you need to purchase anything?
  3. What about the embellishments you want to use for your project?  Do you have something in mind already?
  4. Start to put together the items you want to create the embellishments.  Do you have stamps, paper piecing patterns, or anything else that you would like to use for this?
Since I have been put on a spending freeze the next 7 months or so, I am using up what I have bought and have at home!  I will only purchase things from Stampin' Up needed for my classes!  So I shop from home first, and I have the following figured out for MY creation:
  • I am doing a paper bag album, with the past few years worth of pictures!  I also have the various cards sent to us - so they will be added in the pockets!
  • I have papers selected - I didn't have to shop, I am using papers I have from last Christmas I bought from Stampin' Up!!!
  • I have punches, stamps, die cut shapes, and a few other extra's to include in my album and I am getting it all put together to create!
I am excited to get this album done!  It will be one done for ME instead of to give away!  I am learning to take care of #1 first, and then those that love me...  Instead of trying to make someone love me by the things I make for them.  I know...stupid huh, things can't make you love someone, you actually have to give that other person a chance!  So, instead - I spend time creating for myself, and a few close friends and family!
Now, if you need to actually shop for supplies, you can always take a look at the specials I have at Stampin' Up!  The latest catalog they have has some great specials, simply click the link and you can purchase everything you need!  Join me in creating your own handmade Holiday Album!
