Make sure you check out yesterday's post - for the directions to creating the folder for these, and tomorrows set of cards! Supply list is for the folder and cards, using up what I have at home first, before shopping at the stores!
Supplies I used:
- For the "file" - 8.5 x 11 sheet of cardstock
- Background paper - 4 different coordinating paper
- 4 cards w/envelopes
- Border punch
- Embossing powder - clear and white
- Ink pad - brown and white
- Brad
- 3D flowers
- Stamps - flower, basket, various sayings
- Crimper (if you have one)
- 3D dots
The first two cards we are going to do is a Happy Birthday and Thinking of You card to go with the folder! All of the papers are the same - I just used different variations of each set of colors, and different techniques on each as well!
Step one: Matt the flower paper on brown cardstock, adhere to the card itself.
Step two: Matt two of the colors left in a smaller square shape. Stamp in brown a happy birthday saying, and then emboss in clear powder. Adhere to the card.
Step three: Take a 3D flower - or make one of your own using flowers - and a brad at the top. Glue down with hot glue.
Directions Thinking of You card:
Step one:Matt 2 of the background colors on brown cardstock. Adhere to the card.
Step two: Take the flowered background paper and use a border punch on the top and bottom. Adhere to the card.
Step three: Emboss in white the Thinking of You saying on brown cardstock. Adhere to the card.
Step four: From yesterday's post, take 1 of each color of embossed flowers and adhere on to the card, and 3D dot the other flower.
Make sure you check back tomorrow and get the last two cards made for the pack with directions! I have really enjoyed going back to the basics a bit - and making things that are not for any "reason", but because I wanted to "make them"! I hope you get inspiration of this 3 day post - and make sure you share with me what you have made!
