For me, my friends mean the world to me...they are those who get phone calls when I am mad, or upset - and I get their calls. They are the ones who put you in your place - nicely of course...and they know you are okay with it! They are the ones who pick up the pieces when you can't! Friends are really important, so why not make fun cards for just them! With the first two cards I am sharing - made with the same papers, just added a bit of pink cardstock to one of the cards - and made the flowers a bit differently! The "friends" saying is perfect for these cards, and as a die cut can be used in different ways! Buttons in the middle of the flowers complete the look for both of the cards here!
With this next card, I used scraps for everything - the background paper is actually two sided, I just didn't like the pattern on the other side, so I used the solid side instead! For some reason I have been into teal and red lately, this card fitting perfect in that color scheme! For the background on the teal sheet - I simply took my "friends" saying, and stamped it over and over again with with ink! The Old Lady stamp was embossed in black embossing powder, and chalked in various colors to match the card! The saying was perfect - especially between friends!
With this next card, the same stamp was used in the above card, just once in pink to match the rest of the card. I was too afraid of using a black ink pad and it being off too much in the colors. I added the flower to the patterned paper, the bows at the top, and the card is done! That is why I love using scraps of paper - easy to create cards and smaller things out of! Some of the other smaller scraps you don't use up, can go to create bookmarks, or smaller cards!
What is better than making a handmade card for a good friend - let them know just how much you really care! Keep the inside empty to be able write a special note inside for the person receiving it. Make a few extra up, for use later on! Next up, Get Well Cards, so make sure you check back! We will see you tomorrow!
