Some people think scrapbooking is expensive...and yes, it can be...but, if you follow me, I can give you tips on how to make this craft less expensive! What makes ME any different than anyone else? I have been forced to use what I have at home and available to me to create much of anything due to my husband being taken out of work about 8 years ago. I will tell you, this craft is cheaper than therapy, especially if you have a stress level of any kind, and is wonderful to put your memories down on paper!
In the next few weeks, I will be showcasing products that I recommend for people just starting out, down to people who have been creating for a while! This way, you can forward the email to your loved ones, to show them exactly what it is you want and need! Start watching for those emails next week...titled Christmas ideas for creating!
Cards are the first areas you can start to save money on, by making your own thank you, thinking of you, birthday, anniversary, and just because kind of cards to give to people. I have used a half sheet of 8.5 x 11 cardstock and envelopes bought at Xpedx for years! For a location near you check out this link, and to order online, make sure you click the far right link to order online. You will need to call them first to set up an account, but their prices are wonderful! If you have a store close by, you owe it to yourself to go in there!! One suggestion...find a friend in which you can go, spend money and then split the stuff you have bought in half. I would never get out of this place with less than $50...every time I went there!
For those of you who are trying to find neat ways to store your items, make sure you check out Michaels for their Jetmax Storage for their storage units on sale at 50% off! I am telling you...I have their ribbon organizer, and am in love with it, and soon, all the supplies I have will be in these little units. I might have to spend a little bit of money at a time, and organize one items at a time...but eventually it will be done! One way to think about it, if you are just starting out...purchase something like this that can move with you easily, and be moved around if you move rooms, or move homes...and to grow with too! Right now, everything I have is in a closet about 3 x 8...that has a lot of stuff hanging on the walls, and every shelf is full! They are having a great Cyber Monday sales...in store! Grab a coupon while you are at it...they have plenty of other stuff on sale as well!
