Now for my idea...I have always hated my birthday for more reasons than you can imagine...the day just brings back horrible memories for me - for at least a week or two after...Honestly - I'm still in the midst of my drama!!! However, that doesn't mean birthday's shouldn't be celebrated and special...I just might have to pick another day to do just that!!!
For today's idea's...I wanted to show you how to use scraps and the same die cut to create 3 different style of cards. Each of the cards were done with scraps of paper, the same Sizzix Balloon die cut, a bow punch, floss or ribbon, stamps or rub-on's, and for one card - a cupcake punch and brads. Basic die cuts such as the balloon die cut can be used for so many different things - not just "birthdays". I have used this for a baby shower invitation, birthday's, invitations, and anything else that might be appropriate.
I also love to use stamps and rub-on's for my cards, depending on what I have available to me. I don't always like to use the same old stamps, so using rub-on's as well can make my cards look different, even if I have used the same papers! Plus when I use scraps for my card background, it makes them look truly "unique" on little time and money for the card itself - it makes those cards you get at the Dollar Store be much more expensive than before! These cards cost me almost nothing to make - I had everything needed to finish them up!!
Now for the fun part - the blog candy... One lucky winner will receive a box of scrapbooking goodies donated by Deborah!!! To be eligible for the drawing you must:
