5 Months Until Christmas -

Well - it's that time of the year again, can you really believe it...Christmas is in 5 months from today!  It just doesn't seem possible in all this heat let me tell you!  Last year we had just moved to Sacramento, California to put my husband through school - we didn't have to deal with snow, or a tree, or decorations, or much of anything last year!  And for the most part - Del and I haven't had a lot of money to get Christmas presents each year, not only for each other, but for the kids...  This year - we hope things are different - as we have worked hard to get to this point in our life!  We have 8 kids between Del and I - and by the time Christmas hits we will have 8 grand-kids!  We also have 4 siblings each, my mom is alive, Del's step-dad and mom, plus friends and family both back home, and now in Denver, Sacramento - and where we are at now!  So - what do you end up doing when you have that type of a list...oh not everyone will get presents, but a card at least...  Some people will get something handmade - some a simple gift-card to go spend!
Your challenge for the month:
  • Start to make your list - not only gift list, but your card list as well.  This goes in to the next two challenges!
  • Are you going to hand make your cards, or purchase them?  Start to get sketches, ideas, and places to purchase from decided on.  Do you need to order cards - if so when?
  • What about gifts for everyone - making or purchasing?  If you are purchasing - start to get what you can now, same thing with making...do what you can now!
  • Anything you are going to bake?  Start to write your list out - purchase a few things at every paycheck to make it easier for you!
For the first time in a long time I am excited for this day!  My son's 21st birthday will be the day after, so a planning I am doing!  I am anxious to start my list - start to make my cards, make my gifts...and get this day started - in order to enjoy that time of year!  I procrastinate as it is...but not this year!
Thanks for stopping by,
Lynda Jeffs
