Rhonda's Birthday Blog Hop

Its my birthday and I'll scrap if i want to, scrap if i want to. you'll scrap too when we're all thru. I have asked a special group of scrappy friends to join me in celebrating my birthday with a blog hop .You are going to find a ton of inspiration among this talented group!  Here I am celebrating another birthday and turning a year older. I don't know if that is a good thing or not , but let's just celebrate and enjoy the day. If you came from Sher then your in the right place. If you just happened at my place please start at the beginning with Rhonda   so you don't miss a thing. On to my project shall we.. I started by making cards, first by stamping them - and then by using scrapbooking supplies along with stamps to create one of a kind cards to give my friends and family!  I also use scraps - because it makes more sense to make a card with what is available, instead of whipping out a fresh sheet of cardstock every time I want to create a new ca...

Creative PaperClay Tips

I absolutely love being a part of this amazing team of women, where in one way or another have taught me a lot where it comes to working with this Creative PaperClay !  I have so many things I am working on right now - some out of Creative PaperClay , some out of paper!  One of my current projects I am working on is a magnet made out of the clay, molds, and a rubber stamp!  I like experimenting with different mediums to see what type of "effect" I can get, while using basic stamping and scrapbooking materials!  I can't wait to start to play with other techniques and products to see what I can come up with!  Lynda's tips for the month:   Do NOT be afraid to play with the clay to create things with - and don't be afraid to scrap the project and start over using the same clay too!  I have used it for embellishments on frames, cans, cards, cereal boxes...  Use your imagination and have fun with it!   Make sure to clean your stamps and...

5 Months Until Christmas -

Well - it's that time of the year again, can you really believe it...Christmas is in 5 months from today!  It just doesn't seem possible in all this heat let me tell you!  Last year we had just moved to Sacramento, California to put my husband through school - we didn't have to deal with snow, or a tree, or decorations, or much of anything last year!  And for the most part - Del and I haven't had a lot of money to get Christmas presents each year, not only for each other, but for the kids...  This year - we hope things are different - as we have worked hard to get to this point in our life!  We have 8 kids between Del and I - and by the time Christmas hits we will have 8 grand-kids!  We also have 4 siblings each, my mom is alive, Del's step-dad and mom, plus friends and family both back home, and now in Denver, Sacramento - and where we are at now!  So - what do you end up doing when you have that type of a list...oh not everyone will get presents, ...

Scrapping with Lisa Designs Design Team Project

Scrapping with Lisa Designs has a lot of fun patterns for you to use!  Whether you do digital scrapbooking - or paper...you are sure to find a pattern you can use in her store!  This pattern was a lot of fun to use - with a picture of our grand-kids on a trip through our hometown last year!  The file I used is the Summer Bear - part of her weather bear series!  The rest are digital files I happen to have in my stash of files!  With Lisa's designs, you can always use them as she has them, or make paper piecing patterns out of them and change the colors she has used!  You can do so much with a paper piecing pattern and scraps let me tell you!   Now, Lisa is also looking to bring a few more design team members on board...  You can find her on Facebook here, and here is a link to her blog !  Great way to get free files to work on - I'm working on Christmas tags, cards and layouts I can use at Christmas time - make sure you check back...

Scrapping With Lisa Designs - Design Team Project

Okay - but first off...these two have just GOT to be the cutest things I have seen!  I love digital scrapbooking, especially when I scrap-lift photos to do a project!  Don't worry, I didn't just go to some random girls page and grab photos of her twins just to do this layout - their mom is someone my oldest went to school with - and with her permission, this layout was done!  Now I would totally claim them as my grand-daughters they are absolutely that cute, but my sister has the twins in our family, I'm not quite that lucky - YET!   The file for this project and so many more can be purchased at Scrapping With Lisa Designs , and  can be used as paper piecing patterns, or printed and cut out to put on your pages or projects that way!  She has a lot of neat files and a fun Christmas related blog hop coming up at the end of the month to showcase her awesome Christmas files!  I just ordered and received two of the best files - I can't wait to get w...

Creative PaperClay Project Idea

Today's project is an easy one...and can be tweaked to just about any color scheme you might have!  I started with the Creative PaperClay product and molded the daisy's, allowing to dry for a day or so before I painted them!  I flipped them over about 12 hours in to the dry time to allow for the other side to dry as well.  One thing I am working on now is getting my creations to dry flat - as I get something that works for me I will make sure to let you know!   It took a day or two for the drying to finish up, normally I will work on one part - and then will finish up things a day or two later!  I had bought the frame from a local "dollar store", which fits the picture I wanted to put in there PERFECTLY!  The colors I chose goes with my altered cereal box container found here and sits on top of my computer desk so I can look at it every day!   After the clay had finished drying, I painted the 2 daisies with Radiant Pearls paint, ...

Monthly Reminder

Each month I try to remind you to check out your calendar for the next 6 weeks with things you might have going on.  Do you have any parties, events you are heading up, showers, birthdays, or Anniversaries in your life where you need to make, purchase or spend time organizing?  If so - this post is for you!   I'm not sure how you guys are - but for me...life just gets in the way!  Pretty soon, all this stuff I wanted to get done - is down the drain because I don't manage my time as wisely as I should.  This is all to change - or trying to anyway!  My list this month isn't as big as it normally is - which is probably a good thing!   Del's dad's birthday My sister Allison's birthday Del's daughter's birthday Del's grand-daughter's birthday Plus Christmas will be in about 6 months...I am starting to design my cards, make my list, and decide on a shopping list for each person I am buying for, plus a shopping list for things I nee...

On a whim the other day, I sent my name in to Curls & Grins Creations to be a part of their design team!  I am pleased to announce I have been asked to join the team!  I have worked very hard to create beautiful cards, gifts and scrapbook layouts on a budget since my husband was taken out of work 10 years ago.  Now, I get to show you things you can create by using stamps, paper, embellishments - and a Cricut project or two!   I am excited to see what the future brings me - being on this team, along with my other two teams...I can take myself more seriously where my creativity is concerned!  I hope to bring you fun, exciting ideas - presents you can make for Christmas (tweaking for any other "gifting" event) or birthdays...and layouts/projects you can do for holidays!  I hope you join me - check out Curls & Grins Creations and join me when I bring you my first project!   Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme & Curls & Grins Cre...

Sunday Challenge

We have recently moved...to a place where I never - in a million years - would have thought I liked...but I do!  A place where - I am not too far from my kids, not too far from my nephews...and still far enough away from my family and drama!   The "rebuild process" has taken us away from the Sacramento area - to a place where I start to feel at peace!  I can't wait to see where things really start to take us - with a bit of hard work and striving for something "more"!   So - on one hand, an apology for this being something I couldn't handle or deal with at the time and a thank you for sticking with me during the process!  My creativity has gone through the roof - I can't wait to show you some of the fun things I have finished and have planned!  I am working on a birthday present now, a paper bag album for a special person in my life...and a magnet made out of Creative PaperClay and stamps!  Plus I am planning on going to the Farmers Marke...
