There are days that the creativity just goes down the drain.....nothing comes out of this brain...and then I have to understand that I have fibromyalgia...which doesn't help matters at all! It also doesn't help when you have the same stuff to "create" with! So, here are a few suggestions to twist things up a bit...and create things with what you have around!

- Paper piecing patterns can make really fun one of a kind embellishments for the items you are making. Learn to pick a few up in different styles that you can work easily with.
- Learn to use die cuts in different ways as well, and with different themes too...such as a present die cut for birthdays, Christmas, or weddings too!
- Stickers, when paired with die cuts, make a one of a kind embellishment for your projects.
- Learn to use one or two things from a sticker sheet or pack of die cuts to stretch the stickers further. I use punches or certain die cuts in shapes that are already being used, such as a star or heart.
- Look at templates to help you, layering with other shapes...or on frames to create your own style of embellishment. This way when you are creating, you are not limited to what the sticker is.
- Learn to look at your magazines differently...look once at the articles, not caring much for the "layouts" or items as much... Then go back and look at the items made, or the advertisements that are in the magazine next. As you see things you want to create (even if it is down the line), start to make a list of things you will need to finish it up!
When you are creating, and using a certain color of embellishment such as white, silver, black or gold lets say...learn to grab everything you have in those colors... This way, when you are working on a project...and you run out of one thing, or running low, you can find another type of thing, like a button or a bigger brad!
