Beginner Scrapbooking Idea -

I love scrapbooking my memories...and as I first started scrapbooking, I used it more for
"therapy"  than as a creative outlet like I do now!  I was the youngest of 5 children, born 5 years after my older sister was born.  Mom also had cancer when I was a baby, so my older sister - who is 10 years older than I am...raised me in a sense.  Because of me being "the youngest" - those of you who are the "babies of the family" know - there are no picture of you as a child!  I had a few being a baby, maybe 1 or 2 as a toddler, none growing up - and there you go!

However, I still have memories even though no pictures are available...so instead the written word ends up being the most important part of the layout!
As I look at this layout today, I realize how each of the things listed here - have shaped me in to who I am today!  I still get mom's finger when she's mad at me, I found the Davidson twins - who shared their dad Howard with me as a child...going to my cousin Teresa's house one summer - dancing lessons with my Aunt!
Journaling is the written word where scrapbooking layouts is concerned.  Journaling makes the photo turn in to a story!  This is an example of a layout you can do without pictures...just random memories of a time in your life!  With this layout, you can tweak it to be just about any theme - colors - accents - reason for journaling and papers you use!  Journaling is about the memories, so put a few of your memories down on paper today - photos or not!
