So many things going on here at Memories in Tyme - I figured I would start here and update everything at once - along with links for your convenience!  I am really excited to get things rolling finally!!!!   Classes will be starting up soon here at Memories in Tyme - at a location if you live close by, or online if you happen to have Skype and can chat!  Some of the classes we are offering at this point can be found at the link above.  Our beginners class is sure to help you start to make your own handmade cards, scrapbooks and "paper crafts" made out of your own style of paper and embellishments!  Other classes are card making, scrapbooking, paper bag albums...all can be done online, or in person.     I also have a retreat being planned for October 10-12th, here in Reno/Sparks area...with my wonderful friend Terri Sproul!  I have worked with Terri on the Glue Dots design team we were both on, and she is also the design team leader with Creat...

Creative Paperclay Design Team Project -

Here's a little peek at my latest Creative Paperclay design team project!  At first I wasn't too sure how it was going to turn out - and though it isn't "perfect" - I really like how it turned out!  Supply list and directions on the link below!   Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme and  Creative Paperclay Design Team

Monthly Reminder

It's that time again, take a look at your schedule for the next 6 weeks!  Now, I realize today is Fathers Day, so put this on your list of "things to do" for tomorrow!  Grab your calendar, a pen/pencil, a notebook and lets get started!    Do you have any birthdays, anniversaries - or anything else going on between now and the end of July that you need to get started on? Create a list of things you need to purchase and make for anything in the next 6 weeks.   Look at anything you have at home first - before you spend money!   For my list -  Daughter's birthday -  Father's birthday Farmers Market items I procrastinate...boy do I procrastinate!  I hope this helps you as much as it is beginning to help me!  Have fun creating, see you next month!   Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme

Beginner Scrapbook Ideas

With this 2 page layout spread - I used easy enough techniques you can recreate using your own photos (cause you sure don't want to use mine, LOL)! A simple layout using 4 photos, a nice quote, - and the title is done using cardstock, film strips, buttons and floss, along with words in the middle of each of the film strips!   I love the yellow, blue and green combination along with the supplies used for each of the pages - and how easy you can recreate them!   The best part of this layout - is it can be done using what you have at home...a bowl, paper, and scraps of paper for the borders, using what you have available for your title!  You don't need to use exactly each supply I do, learn to switch it up a bit!       **To make the circles, simply grab a couple of bowl's from your kitchen, looking at how larger you will want your circle's to be.  Place one of them most of the way on the page, trace and cut it out.  As you matt it on the second co...

Beginner Card Idea

I love making cards, especially note cards with nothing on the inside of the card, but instead a place where I am able to write up something to the person directly!  I might use it as a way to say thank you, or a way to say I am sorry...depending on the person getting it!  For a basic card, here are a few tips - and ideas to get you started!   **Tip**  As you are picking out products you like, look at alternatives to help you save money - such as templates, punches, and die cut machines over stickers, die cuts and rub-ons that you can only use once.   With these first set of cards shown, I used a simple butterfly die cut from Sizzix , you have your choice of quite a few different styles in the link above!  If you don't have a machine, I would really look at Sizzix to start with, especially if you are on a budget!  You can see in the next two cards how the butterflies are the same, just in a different color - with the background paper being what is ...

Digital Scrapbooking - Beginner

I love digital scrapbooking - being able to take photos and memories and create a page!  I love this picture of me, my husband, 3 of our grandchildren taken a few years ago!  Since then, their mother - Del's daughter, has had another baby, this time a boy!  This picture has been used in many projects...but this layout is probably my favorite! Your challenge is to find one of your favorite layouts to start with.  Find one quote that you can use to go with it!  Choose one accent color you will use - I chose pink to match the girls' shirts and bow...  Create a layout with black and white, with one accent color!  I really like simple layouts like this, that doesn't take a lot of time to create it!  If you don't have a particular software you use - look back to the previous posts and you will find links to software I would recommend!  Within the next few weeks I will be reviewing another scrapbook software, and how to add kits for free, so ma...

Beginner Scrapbooking Idea -

I love scrapbooking my memories...and as I first started scrapbooking, I used it more for  "therapy"  than as a creative outlet like I do now!  I was the youngest of 5 children, born 5 years after my older sister was born.  Mom also had cancer when I was a baby, so my older sister - who is 10 years older than I am...raised me in a sense.  Because of me being "the youngest" - those of you who are the "babies of the family" know - there are no picture of you as a child!  I had a few being a baby, maybe 1 or 2 as a toddler, none growing up - and there you go!   However, I still have memories even though no pictures are available...so instead the written word ends up being the most important part of the layout! As I look at this layout today, I realize how each of the things listed here - have shaped me in to who I am today!  I still get mom's finger when she's mad at me, I found the Davidson twins - who shared their dad Howard with me as a child....

Creative Paperclay Tips

I have some great tips working with Creative Paperclay up on the blog, all about handling it when you don't create the "perfect" project each and every time!  I love working with this clay - whether I make the "perfect project", or I screw up like I did this time!  I learn more and more each and every time I create!   Until next time, Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme and Creative Paperclay Design Team
