If you have been creating for a while - this post is for YOU! If you have collected a ton of supplies, but really - nothing is organized...also for you! Our supplies are a very important part of this whole "paper crafting" thing, along with the reason and the idea that is! This month - we are going to talk a bit more about organizing and going through what we do have, in order to make room for other stuff!!!
- Go through everything you own for paper crafting. As you are going through it - put like with like items, have a place for all the tools you use, and a place for things you want to get rid of!
- Use boxes that are the same size - in order to keep supplies in. See this post for a great recycled idea that is perfect to put your supplies in!!! As you can see, I have 3 with some of my supplies in...they really hold a lot more than they look!
- Put supplies together in one place for things you are wanting to create (I have mine in a 3 drawer organizer box)! Make sure to add a sheet of paper or a design sheet with notes about the project at hand, as well as the supplies still needed to purchase. This way, it makes it easier to have everything in one place instead of all over the place!
- Have a place for everything - and everything in it's place! If you are in a small living space, this is even more so than those who have an entire craft space for themselves! If it is going to take a few days to make something - you want to be able to put things away when you are done creating...but not have to pull it all out when you have a bit of time!
- Lastly - if you do keep something, make sure you have a reason to use it! Try not to keep something just because it looks good, try to have a reason for using it in the first place!
