It's Mini Album Time -

When I first started scrapbooking, 8.5 x 11 was my choice...  The only 12 x 12 album I really did was my daughter Terra's album!  Then I discovered mini albums - and by far, they are the funnest albums to make!  For the next few weeks - mini albums will be what we are working on...so get your photos, your supplies - and lets get to work!

One of my favorite mini albums to make is my 6 x 6 albums!  This is one of the best ways to take 5 sheets of cardstock, add other basic supplies - take a set of photos from one event - and create an album out of it all!  But there are other styles of albums we will be showcasing during the next few weeks, not just the 6 x 6 albums!  For this style of album, you will need the following supplies:

5 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock/paper (cut into 4 sheets)
Coordinating cardstock/paper to match
Ribbon/floss
Stickers, die cuts, stamps, punches, etc.

Basic directions:
Step one:  Cut each of the 5 sheets of cardstock in to 4 sheets 6 x 6
Step two:  Arrange the 5 sheets in a pleasing manor - such as a pattern, then a solid, and so on.
Step three:  Take two from each pile until they are all done.  One from the top will go to the bottom to create your album.
Step four:  Take your front cover - and page 2, put them together back to back.  On the left side of the page, punch 3-6 holes in the side for your ribbon to go through.
Step five:  Create your front and back covers - using the coordinating papers and embellishments.
Step six:  Take the next two pages - and keep on creating using the coordinating papers and embellishments. Repeat until you are all done.
Step six:  Take your front cover - and page 2, put them back to back using your hot glue gun (or favorite adhesive).  Repeat until you have 10 pages put together.
Step seven:  Take the ribbon/floss you have chose to use, and add it to the holes - making a knot at the end and enough "tails" for your liking!

Albums like these can be done for so many different themes, pictures - just by the supplies you end up using and the pictures you put in the album!  Make it special - customize something with pictures you have taken - for special people!  A handmade gift can be given anytime of the year, so make it special!  See you another day, with another fun album - mini style!
