Creative Paperclay Design Team Project -

As most of you know, I have 3 cats...they are simply my pride and joy, my fur babies!!! Totally spoiled rotten, they have personalities all their own...and love their treats, let me tell you!  So, I created a fun altered box - to put their treats in - you can check it out here !   My "altered box" I used for the project, was the box I got with new Creative Paperclay product!  I was very happy to see they changed their packaging sizes a bit - you now can choose from a 4 oz, 8 oz, and 16 oz package!  That way - you get the size you need, and don't have to waste any!   Make sure you check out my project on the link above...and see you next time! More Mini Albums - With A Challenge

Next to my 6 x 6 albums I make, I love to create paper bag albums!  I won't give you the directions - it is simply best to go to this link - where you will find a series of 5 video's you can watch to create your own!  (This is the first video, you will need to look for the others from here!)  I actually use lunch sacks for my albums - to create a bigger album; you can use the sacks she does, which are smaller in size than what I use...keep that in mind as you are creating your album! For me - since I do use larger bags than what she uses in the example - I have had to do my own measurements instead!  If you choose to purchase the bags, then just make sure you pick the correct ones - lunch bags just make it easier for me, you can pick them up at any grocery store!  Here are some of the albums I have made in the past little while:    Each are different, yet made the same!  One of my favorite album styles, after the 6 x 6 albums...

It's Mini Album Time -

When I first started scrapbooking, 8.5 x 11 was my choice...  The only 12 x 12 album I really did was my daughter Terra's album!  Then I discovered mini albums - and by far, they are the funnest albums to make!  For the next few weeks - mini albums will be what we are working on...so get your photos, your supplies - and lets get to work!   One of my favorite mini albums to make is my 6 x 6 albums!  This is one of the best ways to take 5 sheets of cardstock, add other basic supplies - take a set of photos from one event - and create an album out of it all!  But there are other styles of albums we will be showcasing during the next few weeks, not just the 6 x 6 albums!  For this style of album, you will need the following supplies: 5 sheets of 12 x 12 cardstock/paper (cut into 4 sheets) Coordinating cardstock/paper to match Ribbon/floss Stickers, die cuts, stamps, punches, etc. Basic directions: Step one:  Cut each of the 5 sheets of c...

Using Scraps - Final Thoughts

I hope you have had fun this week - and gotten a ton of inspiration when it comes to using scraps!  Today I am going to go over some of my favorite projects - and a few more things you can do with scraps!!!   Lets get started: This is probably one of my favorite layouts - because of the picture behind the layout, my grandma's dresser!  The die cuts used were from my Sizzix machine and my punches, all from my stash of scraps!  A simple layout you can do in no time, with one photo - or more!       For this layout - I simply used scraps of cardstock cut into thin strips for the border!  This is one way you can do the border with thin strips - or use larger strips if you want!  Change it up - use different colors - and try this border on a card too!!!     With the two layouts above - I used scraps for the paper piecing patterns (the flower and the books)!  Using scraps with your patterns, helps you ...

Layout Made Out Of Scraps (With A Challenge)

Expressions - my daughter on the right, me on the left As you can see - we have been talking about scraps the past few days, make sure you scroll down for more ideas from the past 5 posts - all talking about using scraps!  I save my scraps (as you can see), there are a ton of things you can do using them!  I am going to recreate this layout - using (obviously) different colors and scraps!  I am always using scraps for my cards, my embellishments, bookmarks, and smaller projects - before I grab a whole sheet of paper to use!  This helps save money by being able to use up everything - maybe not right away, but eventually, the whole sheet is gone!   The challenge for today: Make a layout using scraps in it somehow - either in the embellishments, or the background (like my Expressions layout above), the title, the journal space, or something!   Make a card using scraps - whether you stamp on it, make a notecard, or a themed card....create a card usin...

What To Do With Scraps - Day 5

There are so many things you can do with scraps, we've been talking about them the past few days!  I love how the things I end up making is one of a kind - since I won't have the scraps I am using again!  The best part about using scraps - is how things ARE one of a kind, because newer papers are always coming out every season or so!  So make sure you save your scraps for use later on, you will be glad you did!   After I pick out the papers I want to use for each project, I start to get the die cuts, embellishments, punches, stamps and whatever out that I am wanting to use, and simply have fun creating.  This can be the funnest part of the whole process - since I get to just grab things and play, with no rhyme or reason as to WHAT I am making! Some of the funnest things I have made, have been because I have been able to just create!  When you allow yourself to create and just have fun - you can truly make some of the neatest things!   After I get...
