Creative PaperClay Tips

I love working with the Creative PaperClay product and design team!  The girls on this team are so talented - all doing different projects...none are ever the same!  It's not like we as a team sit and ask everyone what they are doing - so we don't do the same "thing", we each just create our own "thing"!  My post is a bit late today - but a few fun tips for using this fun stuff is up on the blog!  I can't wait to see what the team is going to be doing the next few months!   Until next time, Lynda Jeffs Creative PaperClay Design Team and Memories in Tyme

Using Scraps of Paper

So, do you guys keep your scraps of paper left over from other projects, or do you throw them away?  If you throw away your scraps - you are throwing away money...scraps can be used on a whole lot of things when you paper craft!   Use them for tags Bookmarks Backgrounds for cards Embellishments for scrapbook pages Smaller projects Use with paper piecing patterns Use as accents For more "one of a kind" looks To save larger sheets of paper For punch shapes As you first start creating, find something you can throw your scraps in.  I have been organizing and reorganizing my scraps for years - and have recently found this bucket is the best thing I can use to put my scraps in!  When I am working on a project - like today...I started working on cards, and using the papers in the bucket helped me to find perfect papers and colors to create one of a kind cards with.  I always use scraps for my background papers, as it makes the project truly be one of a kin...

Beginner Paper Craft Bookmarks

Tygress I have three cats, momma and the boys - momma was born the September after my husband and I got together - so I can always keep track of her age - going on 14 this year.  They have an entire album all of their own, as they are just as much a part of the family as anyone (just ask my kids, they will tell you)!   However...you just gotta love Tygress - our momma cat...who, after getting a hair ball, will "get up" said hair ball where ever she is at, at the time!  Now, I also love to read...  Since Ty decided to get up her hair ball in my can of bookmarks, I had to make more!  All of the bookmarks here are done using punches, scraps of paper, and whatever I had available to me to create these one of a kind bookmarks...  The only thing I need to do is add the tassels on the top with ribbon and floss!     This is a great beginner project if you are just starting out with paper crafting - and check back later this month for a ...

Facebook Challenge -

There is a Memories in Tyme creative challenge up on the Facebook Page - it's all about using up scraps left over from other projects!!!  So, grab your scraps - your supplies, no shopping allowed...  Make sure you share with me your projects - and my favorites will be shared both on my fanpage and on my blog!  I love using scraps on my projects!!!  By using scraps on your projects - they are more "one of a kind" and personalized, than by using sheets of the same paper.  Plus a small 3 x 3 scrap could be perfect for a card background,  without cutting in to a 12 x 12 sheet of paper!   Thanks for stopping by - when you are done with your scrap creation, add your link here!   Lynda Jeffs Memories in Tyme

Creative PaperClay Design Team

With the Creative PaperClay Design team, you try out for it every 6 months - the first time I tried out was about a year ago from about now, and was selected for the team!  The second term - I was one of 2 from that team, selected to stay - the rest were all new - and man can they create with clay!  Recently we were all asked to stay on the team for 6 more months, which is going to be a lot of fun, that's for sure!  Creatively, I have enjoyed thinking outside the box - using up supplies I currently have, versus spending money on "things"!   Being on this team - has taught me a great deal about using Creative PaperClay with the "things" I currently  create with - stamps especially!  Adding a few of my other basic crafting supplies I have - and you get embellishments, fun projects for kids to do...and using the embellishments on altered projects...   I have done cards - frames - magnets - paper bag albums - snowman - and so much more - all using Cre...
