Papercraft Haven and More

My mom was really creative, she sewed like you wouldn't believe!  Me, I papercraft - make cards, mini albums, wall art, and scrapbooks.  She could look at something and then know how she wanted to make it.  I do that with my creating.   I am my mom's only daughter - to have a daughter - that had a daughter.  I am very proud of Terra and Zoey.  My kids were one thing I did right, let me tell you!  This picture was the time we surprised my mom with both her and Zoey, along with my sons!  Terra had her just before HER birthday in December, mom had cancer - so we had to surprise mom with my kids for Mother's Day!    Since my mom died, I haven't had the creativity that I used to.  It is as if it died when she died.  I have a hard time now picking up the paper, the stamps, and using the Cricut machine to create much of anything.  It sucks, let me tell you.  So, when I do have inspiration, I try to take advantage of it ...

Making your own cards does not take a lot!  8.5 x 11 cardstock, cut in half - and then purchase a box of envelopes - I get mine at Amazon!  Add patterned paper in various colors and themes, and you have one-of-a-kind cards for your friends and family!   I also use scraps for the most part!  I do use a 12 x 12 sheet at times with a One Sheet Wonder template!  There are some awesome ideas on Pinterest, check out my page here !  With scraps, you can find really fun colors to use together that normally doesn't go together, it just matches well! With my cards, for the most part I don't put a saying on the inside of the card.  I like for people to personalize it to who they are giving the card to!  If I have a saying to go in it, I let my customers decide what they want!    I use different die cuts for different things.  Or I combine a die cuts and punches to make the card more unique!  You can get a few basic shapes and use the...

  You know those times in your life when you sit back and think about things in your life a bit more?  Things that worked out and made you happy, and then just went to the wayside for whatever reason?  I'm at that point.   I will be 60 in a few weeks!  Out of everyone I am involved with in a situation, I am the oldest person.  I was taught by my parents to treat people how you want to be treated.  To help, serve, love, honor.  I was taught wrong from right, and learned who I didn't want to be by the people around me at a young age.  I learned the good parts and left the bad alone.   Oh, I wasn't perfect...  I did a lot of stupid things during my first marriage.  I let another one do things to me that caused my kids more harm than it did good.  And another one I couldn't abandon because of what happened to the second one, suicide.  All because I simply wanted to "help".  But the things in my past, during...

I got in to 31 Bags and Totes a while ago but stopped selling - and then recently got back into selling again!  I want my house to be organized, and look good while I am at it, and 31 Bags and Totes has some amazing products that will do JUST THAT!   I use the large totes for a LOT of different things, my latest one - has our initial "J" on it and is actually my personal favorite!  I have one that I put my Cricut machine in so I can take it downstairs or to a crop to hold all of my supplies in one place.  I have a few other totes from 31 Bags full of creative supplies when I need to create - whether I am going downstairs, to a crop, or anywhere else I am creating!     The best part about the totes, is you can use them for one thing - and then find a totally OTHER use for one down the line!  Here is a list of 101 uses for the totes - which is a great list too!  See if you can find any other uses like I did the Cricut machine!...
